Where is the cookie banner?

We don’t show one because we simply don’t need to track you. Your privacy and a smooth browsing experience matter more to us than collecting your click history. The only metrics we care about are how many real guests arrive at Väinölä and how much they enjoy their stay.

No Personal Data Collected

We do not collect or store any personal information through this website. There are no contact forms, user registrations, or comment sections on our site. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details just for browsing our pages.

Cookies and Analytics

We use Cloudflare for hosting and security. During normal browsing the site sets no cookies. The only cookies that may appear are third‑party cookies from Google Maps, and those load only if you click the “Näytä kartta” ("Show map") button.

We also use Cloudflare’s privacy-first analytics to gather basic information about site traffic (such as page view counts). Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or collect personal data; it provides us only with anonymized, aggregated statistics about our visitors.

Google Maps

Our site includes an embedded Google Maps component to show our location, but it is not loaded by default. The interactive map is only fetched after you click the “Näytä kartta” (Show Map) button.

If you choose to view the map, your browser will connect to the Google Maps service (provided by Google LLC). Google may then set its own cookies or collect usage data according to its own privacy policies. These cookies are third-party cookies set by Google, and we do not control them.

We display a notice on the site (”Kartta saattaa käyttää Googlen evästeitä” which means “The map may use Google’s cookies”) to warn you beforehand. If you do not load the map, no connection to Google is made and no Google cookies are placed via our site.

Your Rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have certain rights regarding your personal data. However, since we do not collect or store any personal data during normal use of this site, most of these rights are essentially not applicable — we simply have no information about you.
